The division offers cutting-edge expertise in areas such as sensor systems, automation, printed electronics, AI and data science, cyber security, visualization, interaction design, fiber optics, sustainable transport and circular business models.About the position We are looking for a Development Engineer who will work with the development of embedded system hardware, software and firmware solutions. The position is specifically connected to a three-year research project that is coordinated by Mid University. The project work is performed in close collaboration with multiple Swedish partners. You will be working together with the project’s team of experts.As a development engineer in this project your main task will be the practical realization of embedded systems for proof-of-concept and technology system demonstrators. Your work will include design and development work, coordination of prototype manufacturing, experimental work, electrical characterization, evaluation of results and dissemination. We offer a permanent employment placed in Sundsvall.Who are you? We think you have a strong interest in both hardware and software design. You hold at least an MSc or equivalent qualification in electronic engineering, physics, or similar related subject. Work experience is a merit but not mandatory. You need to be enthusiastic, keen to develop your skills, enjoy working in a dynamic team environment and have good communication. You are well organized, self-motivated and strive for excellence in every task. Furthermore, good familiarity with hardware and software design tools is expected as well as practical experience of different embedded software languages. We think you have a strong interest in all aspects of advanced sensor systems. You hold a PhD or equivalent qualification in electronic engineering, physics, or similar subject. Work experience is a merit but not mandatory. You need to be analytical, enjoy working in a dynamic team environment and have good communication skills. You are well organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated and strive for excellence in every task. You are proficient with mathematical calculation and statistical analysis methods.
